World Wildlife Day- Saving One Animal Won’t Change The World But It Will Change The World For That One Animal!
On 20th December 2013, at 68th session of the
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) decided to proclaim 3th March, the day of the adoption
of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna
and Flora (CITES), as World Wildlife Day, which was proposed by Thailand,
To Celebrate and Raise Awareness of the
World's Wild Fauna and Flora.
Wildlife is a precious gift of God to this planet.
Wildlife plays a major important role in balancing the environment. Wild life
also provides stability to different kind of natural processes of nature. The
importance of wildlife to this planet earth is for their medicinal values,
to keep the healthy environment, they’re very Ecologically Important, for
Economic Importance, Investigatory Importance, Conservation of Biological Diversities,
Recreation, For Socio- Cultural Importance and Importance in Agriculture etc.
Theme of World Wildlife Day 2019 is ‘Life below water: for people and planet' which
focuses on marine species, and will be an opportunity to highlight the
critical issues and values of marine wildlife to our everyday lives. The
occasion will also celebrate successful initiatives to conserve and sustainably
manage these species, and to scale up support for future initiatives.
